Diving Queensland is pleased to be offering a Judging workshop and a Recording secretariat workshop to all our members, ranging from beginners to our most experienced volunteers.  EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND THIS FREE EVENT.


This course is not just for those wanting to start their judging journey, but should be attended by all judges as part of the maintenance criteria necessary to maintain your judging accreditation.

Please be mindful of the maintenance requirements required to retain your current judging level.  Attending a state workshop will assist in providing valuable updates on rule changes.


This Judging workshop will be held on Sunday 18th of October

Estimated start time: 8:30 am 

Estimated finish time: 2:00 pm (TBC)


The Recording Secretariat workshop will cover all duties performed at competitions: Announcing, computer operator, Recorder (top and tail), Support.

Estimated start time for the Recording component will be 11:00 


The Judges workshop structure will be broken up into 4 sections on the day, and will include:

  • intro to diving and basic categories
  • synchro rules
  • armstands
  • dive numbers and positions
  • faults and summaries of dive components
  • referee duties, procedures
  • Psychology of judging diving
  • includes a comprehensive powerpoint presentation.  

The judges exam will be available for all who need to either update or start their judging pathway. 


Complimentary morning tea and lunch will be provided. 

Lunch will be available at the conclusion of the workshop.  We expect to finish between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm

WE NEED ALL JUDGES TO PLEASE REGISTER THEIR RSVP WHETHER THEY ARE GOING TO ATTEND OR NOT.
