Level 1 - 4 Judges course
Event information
Registrations for this event are closed.
Diving Queensland is pleased to be offering a Judging course to all our members, ranging from beginners to Level 4. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND.
This course is not just for those wanting to start their judging journey, but should be attended by judges up to Level 4 as part of the maintenance criteria necessary to maintain your judging accreditation.
Our State Techinical Officials Coordinator (STOC) has made this course compulsory for all level 1 - 4 judges, as most of the judges have not or do not judge or do the national workshop, they need to do the state level workshop.
This workshop will be held over 1 day on Sunday 27th of August
Estimated start time: 8:30 am (TBC)
Estimated finish time: 3:30 pm (TBC)
The course structure will be broken up into 4 sections on the day, and will include:
- intro to diving and basic categories
- synchro rules
- armstands
- dive numbers and positions
- faults and summaries of dive components
- referee duties, procedures
- NEPP rules
- includes a comprehensive powerpoint presentation.
The judges exam will be available for all who need to either update or start their judging pathway. The workshop will end with a mock competition where judges can "judge" and gain on the spot feedback by our presenters.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided for all attendees.
As a result of the Gold Coast hosting the 2018 Commonwealth Games, GOLDOC and Diving Australia would like to ensure strong legacy outcomes for Queensland. As well as other areas, it includes the area of Technical Officials expertise.
We acknowledge and thank GOLDOC and Diving Australia for their assistance in holding this workshop.
You must register your attendance by Tuesday 22nd of August via the registration page.
